# Glyphs Study Guide

Work through these notebooks in order. Each part introduces the terms
and glyphs used in its examples. Run them in a BPL notebook or try the
examples in the [playground](playground.qmd).

1. [Basics](study/01_basics.ipynb): numbers, vectors, grouping,
    functions and strings.
2. [Functions and arrays](study/02_functions.ipynb): comparisons,
    counting, finding and filtering.
3. [Operators and axes](study/03_operators.ipynb): build functions from
other functions, work with rows and columns, and repeat
    calculations.
4. [Nested arrays and trains](study/04_nested-arrays.ipynb): work with
arrays inside arrays, keyed data and combinations of functions.
5. [Searching and indexing](study/05_searching-indexing.ipynb):
membership, patterns, repeated values, selections and grades.
6. [Rearranging and transforming
    arrays](study/06_rearranging-arrays.ipynb): reverse and rotate,
transpose axes, change selections, choose functions, and execute or
    format text.
7. [Numerical tools](study/07_numerical-tools.ipynb): integer bits,
primes, factors, polynomials and numerical searches.

Use the [glyph reference](glyphs.qmd) for the full definitions and
[Terms](terms.qmd) to look up the vocabulary.
