Glyphs Study Guide

Work through these notebooks in order. Each part introduces the terms and glyphs used in its examples. Run them in a BPL notebook or try the examples in the playground.

  1. Basics: numbers, vectors, grouping, functions and strings.
  2. Functions and arrays: comparisons, counting, finding and filtering.
  3. Operators and axes: build functions from other functions, work with rows and columns, and repeat calculations.
  4. Nested arrays and trains: work with arrays inside arrays, keyed data and combinations of functions.
  5. Searching and indexing: membership, patterns, repeated values, selections and grades.
  6. Rearranging and transforming arrays: reverse and rotate, transpose axes, change selections, choose functions, and execute or format text.
  7. Numerical tools: integer bits, primes, factors, polynomials and numerical searches.
